Donation and Giving Policy

28:19 Ministries INC.

Effective Date: August 8, 2026
Last Updated: August 8, 2026

Discipling Disciples. Impacting Generations. Advancing the Kingdom.

28:19 Ministries is grateful for the generosity of individuals who choose to support the work of the ministry.

Financial gifts help support our mission to make disciples, equip believers, provide biblical teaching and resources, develop ministry programs, serve individuals and communities, and advance the Kingdom of God. This Donation & Giving Policy explains the general practices governing financial contributions made to 28:19 Ministries.

Voluntary Giving

All donations to 28:19 Ministries are voluntary. No person is required to make a donation in order to receive prayer, participate in general ministry activities, or receive pastoral care unless a particular program, product, event, or service has a separately disclosed fee.

We believe giving should be done willingly and according to each person's conviction before God.

"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."
— 2 Corinthians 9:7

We do not believe individuals should be manipulated, pressured, or coerced into giving.

How Donations Support the Ministry

Donations may be used to support the mission, programs, operations, and activities of 28:19 Ministries.

This may include, as appropriate:

  • Discipleship programs;

  • Bible teaching and ministry programming;

  • Development of ministry resources;

  • Outreach initiatives;

  • Community ministry;

  • Technology and digital platforms;

  • Website and media expenses;

  • Ministry events;

  • Administrative and operational expenses;

  • Equipment and supplies;

  • Publishing and educational initiatives;

  • Assistance programs approved by ministry leadership;

  • Leadership and ministry development;

  • Facility-related expenses;

  • Compensation for ministry staff or contractors, where applicable;

  • Professional services; and

  • Other expenses reasonably related to carrying out the mission of 28:19 Ministries.

Designated Gifts

From time to time, 28:19 Ministries may invite donors to support a particular program, project, campaign, outreach effort, or ministry need. We will make reasonable efforts to honor donor preferences for approved designated purposes.

However, unless otherwise required by applicable law or a separate written agreement, donations are made to 28:19 Ministries, and the ministry retains appropriate discretion and control over donated funds.

If a designated project:

  • Becomes fully funded;

  • Is postponed;

  • Is modified;

  • Is discontinued;

  • Becomes impractical; or

  • No longer requires the donated funds,

28:19 Ministries may apply remaining funds to a substantially similar ministry purpose or another area of ministry need, subject to applicable law and any binding restrictions.

Donations for Individuals

28:19 Ministries community platforms should not be used by participants to independently solicit donations for themselves or other individuals without authorization. When 28:19 Ministries establishes or approves a benevolence effort for an individual or family, donations should be made through the method designated by the ministry. The ministry may determine how approved benevolence funds are distributed based upon the circumstances, available resources, ministry policies, and applicable legal requirements. A donor generally may not retain control over how an individual recipient uses funds once properly distributed by the ministry.

No Personal Fundraising Through Ministry Platforms

Participants, members, volunteers, students, leaders, and community members may not use 28:19 Ministries platforms, contact lists, classes, groups, or relationships to solicit personal financial assistance without prior authorization.

This includes requests for:

  • Cash;

  • Loans;

  • Grocery money;

  • Rent or utility assistance;

  • Crowdfunding contributions;

  • Personal fundraising;

  • Business investments; or

  • Other personal financial support.

Individuals experiencing hardship are encouraged to contact ministry leadership privately rather than independently soliciting participants.

This provision should be read together with our Community Guidelines.

Donation Methods

28:19 Ministries may accept donations through methods made available or approved by the ministry, which may include:

  • Online giving;

  • Electronic payment platforms;

  • Checks;

  • Cash;

  • Bank transfers;

  • Giving applications; or

  • Other authorized methods.

Donors should use only official giving methods published or directly confirmed by 28:19 Ministries. Payments made directly to an individual are not automatically considered donations to 28:19 Ministries.

Online Giving and Third-Party Payment Processors

Online donations may be processed through third-party payment providers. Those providers may collect and process information necessary to complete the transaction in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices. 28:19 Ministries does not generally receive or store complete payment-card information when transactions are processed entirely by an independent payment provider.

Information concerning how we handle personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.

Recurring Donations

Where recurring giving is available, donors may authorize donations to be processed automatically at the frequency selected during enrollment. Donors are responsible for reviewing the amount and frequency before establishing a recurring gift. A donor may request cancellation of future recurring donations through the applicable giving platform or by contacting 28:19 Ministries. Cancellation of future recurring payments does not ordinarily reverse donations that have already been processed.

Refunds of Donations

Because donations are voluntary gifts and may be used to support ongoing ministry activities, donations are generally non-refundable once processed. However, 28:19 Ministries may consider refund requests involving circumstances such as:

  • Duplicate transactions;

  • Incorrect donation amounts;

  • Unauthorized transactions;

  • Technical errors; or

  • Other exceptional circumstances.

Requests should be made promptly after discovering the issue. Approval of a refund is subject to applicable law, payment-processor requirements, and the circumstances of the transaction.

This provision applies to donations, not purchases of products, courses, coaching services, or event registrations, which may be governed by a separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Related Tax Information

At this time, please consult your tax adviser regarding the tax treatment of your contribution.

Donation Acknowledgments and Receipts

Where appropriate, 28:19 Ministries may provide donors with an acknowledgment or receipt reflecting contributions received. Donors are responsible for maintaining records necessary for their own tax or financial purposes. Any acknowledgment issued by 28:19 Ministries will reflect the ministry's records and applicable legal requirements.

Goods or Services Received in Exchange

Some payments made to 28:19 Ministries may not constitute pure donations.

For example, payments for:

  • Books;

  • Merchandise;

  • Coaching;

  • Courses;

  • Event admission;

  • Membership benefits; or

  • Other products or services

may constitute purchases or partially charitable transactions depending upon the circumstances. When required, 28:19 Ministries may identify the value of goods or services provided in exchange for a payment. Donors should consult their tax adviser regarding the deductibility of any portion of such payments.

Non-Cash Gifts

28:19 Ministries may choose whether to accept non-cash contributions, including property, equipment, securities, vehicles, or other assets.

The ministry reserves the right to decline gifts that:

  • Create excessive administrative burdens;

  • Carry liabilities;

  • Conflict with our mission or beliefs;

  • Include inappropriate restrictions;

  • Are difficult to value or dispose of; or

  • Otherwise are not in the best interests of the ministry.

Donors are responsible for obtaining independent tax, legal, or valuation advice regarding non-cash contributions.

Gifts With Conditions

28:19 Ministries reserves the right to decline a contribution containing conditions or restrictions that:

  • Conflict with our Christian mission or beliefs;

  • Interfere with ministry governance;

  • Require unlawful activity;

  • Create unreasonable administrative obligations;

  • Give a donor inappropriate control over ministry decisions;

  • Compromise ministry integrity; or

  • Otherwise cannot reasonably be accepted.

Acceptance of a gift does not entitle a donor to direct ministry operations, leadership decisions, teaching, staffing, or governance.

Donor Privacy

28:19 Ministries respects the privacy of its donors. Donor information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We do not sell donor personal information.

We will make reasonable efforts to limit access to donor information to individuals and service providers who need it for legitimate ministry, administrative, financial, or legal purposes.

Anonymous Giving

Where available, donors may request that their contribution be publicly anonymous.

However, 28:19 Ministries may still be required to maintain appropriate internal records or disclose information when required by law, financial institutions, payment processors, auditors, or regulatory authorities.

Financial Stewardship

28:19 Ministries seeks to steward donated resources responsibly and in furtherance of its mission.

We recognize that financial resources entrusted to the ministry should be handled with integrity, accountability, and wisdom.

"Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful."
— 1 Corinthians 4:2

Donor Influence

Financial giving does not purchase:

  • Leadership authority;

  • Ministry positions;

  • Preferential pastoral access;

  • Control over teaching;

  • Decision-making authority;

  • Special spiritual status; or

  • Governance rights.

Ministry decisions remain subject to the appropriate leadership and governance structure of 28:19 Ministries.

Changes to This Policy

28:19 Ministries may update this Donation & Giving Policy as our ministry operations, giving methods, programs, or legal obligations change. The most current version will be made available through our website.
